Christmas

I had a lot of fun yesterday for Christmas. We celebrated the gift of Jesus' birth by giving each other gifts. Ok, I didn't get Mommy and Daddy anything this year, but next year I will!

I'm not really sure what was supposed to be so great about
ripping the paper off the presents, but I tried to humor the folks.

I got lots of cool stuff.

But you know, sometimes the the packaging can be just as fun!

Whew, Christmas is overwhelming...I had to go hide in the corner
for a bit with my old familiar toys.

We had Mommy's favorite breakfast...Bubbleloaf!
I thought it was pretty good, but I still like Cheerios the best.

It started snowing that morning! I just had to check it out.

I love my new bath toys!

First Steps!

Guess what? I can take some steps all by myself! Actually I took my very first step on December 9th, but it took a bit before Mom finally got me on video. Here's a few of my tries.

Here's a few more pictures of my latest adventures.

I'm enjoying my stool

It's such a fun climbing aid

I'm a daredevil!

Wow, everything is so....blue

First Word?

I have officially spoken a word, and that word is.....GOOK! errr book.
While in this video I am obviously referring to a book, I have also been known to call my rubber duck, turtle and various other objects "gook." The folks were still gratifyingly excited at my accomplishment!

I'm also learning other fun skills:

Time to hang up Dad's clothes!

One more inch and there's gonna be trouble in our house!

New Cousin!

I have a new cousin! Suzanna Yue Ling Miller was born December 10th, weighing 7lbs 15oz and 19.5 inches long. Isn't she pretty?

In other news, on December 9th, I took my first step! Since then, I've taken as many as three in a row, but mostly I take one step and fall down. Both Mom and Dad seem pretty excited with just the one step, so I keep on trying!

I Also enjoy getting myself into jams lately. I wedged myself in here, but needed Mom's help to get out.

I have NO IDEA who pulled out all those wipes, Mommy....
(but whomever it was might have learned how from Madison or Ellie)

Here I am helping Mommy dry her hair. Well, at least I held her hairbrush for her.

Thanksgiving

We had a quiet Thanksgiving this year with just me and the folks.

First we watched the birds

Then Mom made a nice Thanksgiving meal (well, Daddy said it was good, I wasn't a fan of the stuff I tried) and we watched football!

I'm also learning a new skill. Check it out:

The next day, Mom and Dad set up the Christmas tree and decorated the house. I think the tree is pretty cool, but I'm looking forward to ripping the paper off those presents!

Long Week

Well, sorry I haven't blogged in a while, but I had an ear infection all last week and kept everyone up at night to comfort me in my misery. Not to mention I've also been teething! Check it out, I have top teeth now!

Mom's little snaggletooth

Mom finally uploaded some videos of me, so here's one of me and Faith.

Practicing my balloon/contortionist act

Playing outside

Ok, now I'm pooped!

Discriminating Palate

Guess what I did today? I drank from my sippy cup for the very first time! I really didn't see what all the fuss was about before...I mean, my bottle got the job done just fine. However today, Mommy put some fresh apple cider in my straw sippy cup and after one taste of that, I grabbed that cup and went to town! Mom has tried for months to get me to drink regular ol' apple juice or water or even milk from a sippy, but it really wasn't worth the effort. But that cider....all I have to say is "more, please!"

Hands-free version

My newest toys are these great balloons from an open house at Unca John's new dental practice.

Halloween

For Halloween this year, I told Mommy that I absolutely REFUSED to dress up like anything sissy (I'm still embarrassed from the chicken suit last year...)

So this year I was Superman! Clark Kent, eat your heart out!

I went to a little neighborhood party with my friends Ellie and Eunbi, where we saw lots of cool costumes. I think Mommy got a little too excited over a Jabba the Hutt costume, but whatever.

Girls, girls, no fighting....there is plenty of Superman to go around!

Jack of all Trades

I've been trying out lots of different possible professions the last few weeks.
Should I be a...
Computer Whiz
(I like Skyping with Popo and Koung Koung)

A Drummer (who needs drums?)

A Mime (mmm tasty)

An Athlete
(thanks for the early Christmas present, Auntie Cindy and Uncle Mike)

A Dog (like Faith!)

A Jailbird (just kidding!)

Or maybe I'll just be like Daddy!

I Don't Do Things by Half!

I did two very important "first" things just this morning. First, I held my bottle all by myself and drank the whole thing! And then, (if that wasn't enough...) I climbed all the way up the stairs! Mom ran for the camera, but only caught the last few steps. Before this, I had only gotten up one stair.

Busy Weekend

I've sure had a busy weekend. It started with a trip to Krop's Crops with our Mothering Matters group on Friday.

We went on a hayride...

Then picked out our very own pumpkins

Played in this cool corn bin (best part!)

Me and Ellie!

Pumpkin Patch

Then my Uncle Mike, Auntie Cindy and cousin Josh came for the weekend, and we went apple picking on Sunday. It was very crowded, but we found enough yummy apples for 2 apple crisps!

Those apples were high up!

Here's us with some of the gang. Unca Russell, and Ellie and Eunbi brought their folks too!
